- An established Story City, Iowa community bank wanted to provide a drive-up branch office along a busy connecting street. They wanted the small, 400 square foot building to appear larger than it’s plan dimensions would suggest.
Project Description
The building houses a small walk-up lobby, teller area, restroom and utility room. This central area, roofed with a dramatic, curved form with large overhangs, forms the ‘anchor’ for the three drive-up lanes and a dedicated ATM lane which are covered by separate, lower roof forms.
Brick, limestone and glass exterior materials add a richness to the building.
Although small in size, the facility makes a commanding visual statement to passerby.
